New to the Bookshelf: The Big Book of Preserving the Harvest by Carol W. Costenbader

Non-fiction. Paperback from Storey Publishing, LLC. Published in 2002. Purchased from Amazon.com.

The complete title for this book is The Big Book of Preserving the Harvest : 150 Recipes for Freezing, Canning, Drying and Pickling Fruits and Vegetables, but that is obviously a bit much to put into the post title. It's a very helpful book and has been quite useful as I having been trying to make sense of the process of canning. I've also gleaned some more insights for my freezer habit. It's certainly not an exhaustive book on any of the subjects, but it has a good amount of information for someone who is just starting out.
